This web-based publicity database allows publishers to keep track of all their efforts to solicit reviews for their books. I programmed it for my own use, when I was managing the publicity efforts of a small, very successful publisher in southern Connecticut. Now, I have added multi-user capability, so that I can offer it to the rest of the publishing community.

This database will help you to easily keep track of:
- All the requests for review copies that you receive
- All the review copies you send out
- All the reviews that are written as a result of your efforts
There are various searches you can perform on this database, which will make your publicity efforts easier and more fruitful:
- You can search for any review copies that have been sent out, for which you have not yet received a review. This will enable you to find and contact reviewers who haven't delivered yet, and maybe convince them to give your book some attention. (This search can be limited to a range of dates that you specify, to make it even more convenient.)
- You'll be able to search for all the requests that you have yet to fulfill, so that you never forget to send out a book to an important reviewer. Again, you can limit these searches to a range of dates that you specify. (That way, you won't see all the requests you decided not to fulfill last season, or last year.)
- You'll be able to perform quick searches for all the previous review copy requests from a particular person or organization, and check whether they have written reviews in the past, before deciding whether to send them a copy of your latest book. You can, if you choose, eliminate from your mailing list the people who never actually write reviews of your books.
Access to the Publicity Database costs only $5/month. (I'm not expecting to make a living off of this; just trying to provide something useful to the publishing community.) To sign up for a one-month free trial, or an ongoing membership, click here.
